Updated. The whole thing needs to shift forward a quarter inch or so for the hole to align but interferes at the backside. Not a big deal, i can mod it and use a washer if needed. Just wasn't sure.

Just gotta mod and fit before powder coat

The slotted hole in the back is to accommodate the 1.6 valve cover. So on the VVT the bolt should be towards the rear of the slot.

I'll try to shave the slotted rear to see if I can sneak it forward more, but it may just need to be cut + washer. I should have shaved the valve cover before coating.

Boots look good! I'm slightly partial to my bracket, but I'm glad we're getting some options out there! :bigtu:

The timing was funny wasn't it? Thanks Mike!

The timing was quite funny indeed. As long as we're expanding the market and capabilities of these cars I think it's a great thing. Keep it up!

Is there a way to pull the terminals deeper into the boot? The seals push into the holes of the valve cover only about a third or at best half way in.

aidandj 09-07-2016 09:33 PM

You have the black VVT wires right? Not the blue 90-00.

psyber_0ptix 09-07-2016 09:46 PM

Black ones. So sexy. They just don't slip down all the way. The terminal for the sparkplug is a little too close to the opening

hi_im_sean 09-07-2016 10:27 PM

You can pull on the wire while at the same time pushing the terminal into the boot. The boot grips the wire much tighter than it grips the terminal. It may take a bit of force.

Will try tomorrow, thanks!

Quite the quality kit, it installed easy peasy.

aidandj 09-07-2016 11:39 PM

Get us pics as soon as you can!

psyber_0ptix 09-07-2016 11:43 PM

I made a booboo, can I order another set of wires?

hi_im_sean 09-10-2016 12:31 PM

Lol, what did you do? Just send them back and ill fix em. Sounds like I may have set your terminal depth a little off anyway.

etang789 10-18-2016 09:03 AM

will this bracket interfer with the Carbing 3 point strut bar?

aidandj 10-18-2016 09:06 AM

Most likely. But if you measure how far the strut bar is from the engine we can be sure.

Do you make the Plug N Play wiring harness as well?

aidandj 10-19-2016 02:27 PM

We do not.

I have a gm harness I can send you for $20. Plugs into the 585s. You would just need to change out the main gm connector.
