these particular units will not fit in dash. used system MIGHT fit with dash modifications but it is not 1 din.
i will have 1 din unit available sometime soon for about $600.

you can watch **** @ 80mph! thats what i do
but seriously, you can use it to store all your music and videos, play dvds, p3 cds, regular cds, hook it up to your bluetooth phone for hands-free calling, browse web, use it for navigation (gps), hook it up to your piggy back or standalone and monitor your cars activity / tune your car. possibilities are endless!

there are 3 wires for power:
+12V
-12V
+12V ign
then you need to drop cables from comp to amp, from amp to speakers, from comp to screen, and thats pretty much it! seriously, its like installing stereo with subwoofer

these computers have following inputs/outputs:
vga out
sound out (standard headphone jack)
sound in (mic)
usb ports in/out
power in (+12v memory, -12v ground, +12v ign)
+12v remote out (for amp, so you dont hear thump when you turn on your comp)
mouse/keyboard in
ethernet (network) in/out
serial port in/out
im not sure if these systems have this but some have rca tv-out too
so basically you will need an amp to power speakers
