They looked like every other junkyard Miata motors - kinda dirty and ugly. But the leakdown test results were good, which is what mattered most to me. And they were exactly as promised/pictured - complete, with wiring harness/ECU, and well-crated as to avoid damage during shipping.

I should be firing up the first one here in the next week or two; will let you guys know how it turns out.
