this is a damn good part at a damn good deal...I cant tell you how shitty the stock miata tranny is I went through 7 in one year of competitive drifting with 300hp. If i was still in the miata game $450 would be a no brainer....dont be soo cheap people for great work and parts geared towards us small timers

theshdwconspracy 11-03-2013 08:10 PM

Thank you sir.

two left and seen some interest!

Any left? This adapts the Miata MZR I4 2L engine to Rx7 TII transmission, right?

theshdwconspracy 03-20-2014 03:54 PM

Yes there are still some left.

These are only for 1.6L and 1.8L motors, I do not know if they fit MZR, but I can only assume they don't

Seriously, have you even read the first post?!?!? Do the pictures look like an MZR? Has MZR been mentioned once in this thread?

Go home n00b.

sort of an update.

This part from miataroadster makes this swap quite a bit easier, and I just saw it for the first time.

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1398620601

These are rear hubs for miatas that will accept TII axles. So, you can swap in a TII trans and TII differential and have an easy axle solution.

MiataRoadster rear hubs for RX-7 or S2000 axles - MiataRoadster - High-performance customer service...and parts for Roadsters

This only leaves you needing to make a trans and diff mount and you can just have a stock TII driveshaft shortened.

Hopefully there is some interest in these still. For all the talk over the years about how successful this swap would be only 3 people have purchased one from me.

If you have any questions please contact me, Thanks.

I still want one but it is always so far down the list of things that I HAVE to spend money on that it never gets done. Now on the other hand, the day will come when I destroy my factory 5-speed and you'll get a call...

BoostedSmurf 04-28-2014 07:39 PM

Thanks a tonne for sharing that about the hubs on MiataRoadster! I was about to buy some TII hubs this weekend to have machined, saved me some time and money.

this is tempting I dont want too be blowing up 6 speeds any links on fitting the t2 rear end with it?

TheProfessor 05-27-2014 09:56 PM

Do you have any plans to produce another run once these sell out? I really don't need to be spending the money but if there are no further production plans I may pick one up and shelve it next to the Ford rear end subframe for when I inevitably destroy my stock 5-speed.

Have you still got the CAD drawing file?
If so would you be willing to sell this file, as i would like to get one made up locally (Australia).
Email me at crimzon15@hotmail.com if you are interested.
Cheers.
