Default Toyota COP harness for 1.8

Posted on another forum, putting it here for someone that doesn't want to buy their own connectors. This is not a PNP solution as you will have to wire it into the stock Ignition harness yourself.

"I just finished my harness and I'm willing to sell it because I have 2 sets of connectors and I'm making another one.
I might be able to have more of these in the future for almost the same price.
There is around 2.5' of wire left that is behind the head for you to route it wherever you want in the engine bay.

The price for this one is $47 shipped. Contact dpomana@gmail.com

That's what I was thinking but it is already all soldered up so you can solder it up to a connector and run with it. It would work with a 1.6 if you added a ground supposedly. I really haven't looked into it myself.

so this will work with stock ecu and all I have to do is just wire it to ignition harness? This will go on a 1.8 engine with 1.6 electronics. Would this work?

SUpra: Yes, it will work with the 1.6l but you will have to add one more ground.

you dont even "need" to add the ground. i was lazy and never acutally hooked it up.

lazzer suggested it on his diagram, not sure exactly why.

you don't need to add the ground. you need to add tach outs.

i'm adding 2 extra grounds to mine. i had enough ground issues, so i'm just going in with the proactive overkill mentality.

So he can just add an extra ground IF he want's to to make it work on a 1.6l and split the tach output wire ..... that is easy to do.

I here you man, I took all 3 grounds for my lc1 and just connected them to 2 14ga grounds and ran them straight to my battery. I didn't want to **** with ground problems at all.

My LC main and reference grounds go to the sensor ground area on the head via 2 16ga wires, and the heater ground goes to the other side of the head with a 14ga. I also have 3 extra 16ga grounds from the MS going to the sensor ground area.

I'm done f'ing with ground issues. Overkill FTMFW

So you have to have the harness for a 1.6l car. Which means you'll need to split the tach output (or ask the seller if he would do it).

Miata Paul. MSPNP wiring diagrams are available in the sticky thread. I know you have some spare wire and electrical tape lying around.

I was cool enough to get connectors with my COPs though (Lazzer FTW), I just gotta get done with your **** so I can work on my own crap. Smelly liquid crap.
