Default Turbo Kit

Hello, I have made a turbo kit which is based around an aftermarket T25 GTX Dual Ball Bearing 2860r Turbo, the kit can be specced for a 1.6 top mount, low mount, 1.8 topmount, low mount NA,NB,NB2
ALL the parts that aren't made by me are purchased from fmic.eu, I am mentioning because I didn't use the cheapest parts I could find, the kit as it is pictured is $2250

The kit pictured is 1.8 top mount for a NA, however nb1 also in stock, 1.6 not in stock as I have a revised manifold on the way next week, otherwise ready to ship

1.8 Kraken top mount manifold and 2.5" downpipe
4 x inconel studs and heat resist nut
Fmic.eu gtx2860r dual ball bearing turbo (€640) clocked and ready to fit https://fmic.eu/en/turbo/149984-jrsp...-bb-turbo.html
Fmic.eu Hybrid BOV 25mm valve (€75) https://fmic.eu/en/blow-off-y-mbc-i-...ing-valve.html
Fmic.eu 180mm intercooler core and intercooler piping with clamps
Chinese GM AIR SENSOR
Complete oil and water lines and fittings with drill and tap, turbo oil fitting, braided line, 3 port fitting, engine fitting, sump fitting, banjo and bolt, water hose, oil return hose, turbo oil drain (not in the photo)

$2250 shipped worldwide (cheaper than the cxracing kit, although it's missing the air filter and intake pipe)
If you want to add a 3" downpipe this will cost $90 extra
If you want it with a low mount and 3" downpipe it will be $200 extra

And the "bar" for budget kits get raised again!
Freaking NICE kit!
Almost to the point where you cannot beat the price fabbing all the stuff yourself.
And this fabbing requires you to be a full blown master. I am and this looks like the "easy button" even to me.

Beginners...
This looks like "The Way" now.

Kraken, your stuff looks super high quality, all of your stuff...
CRX racing is NOT even close to you.
TSE was a competitor and is now gone...
Only competitor you really have is MKTurbo and you just blew him out of the water IMO.
Figure out an air filter and a complete exhaust and you will be done...

Thank you for the kind words, I had a really hard time getting the parts to what they are, having 0 experience was probably the main issue and I am very grateful to everyone who purchased the kits at the beginning this has allowed me to improve the parts, without the community I wouldn't be here. So thank you to everyone, hopefully, I haven't let you down

So was this a "one off" kit or will you be offering this as a normal product?
I've spoken to two of my customers about this...
You will sell the crap out of these if it is available.

If it was a single set up...
You shouldn't tease us like that.

i have this kit minus the turbo (got an arashi bb gt2554) and intercooler (got a fab9 one) and its such an amazing piece of work. i cant begin to speak of the quality and the craftsmanship and response time of kraken. it took faster for a box full of turbo stuff to come from europe than for a braided line to come from california on usps priority. my daily is a 2012 sti and has a grimmspeed up pipe and invidia turbo back. the kraken downpipe and exhaust piping exceeds the quality of these expensive companies' work. if anyone has any questions for me ill be happy to answer them!!

Michael,
if you want a genuine Garrett Turbo in future kits, that don't blow up all the stock engines :

Turbozentrum here in Germany has GT2560R's for 730€ on a regular basis, sometimes even for 680€, maybe an interesting option for a lot of guys

TBH not sure, between other things i am thingking of giving up and packing it in, I do the downpipe kits will still be available for a year or so. I do want to offer complete kits and I do want to continue but my sales arent enough and the banks arent really interested and i am quite tired of struggling

I am not a big fan of the 2560r due to the fixed actuator

Wait so does that mean you are going to be shutting down your operation? Because I am like banking on your manifold/DP for my EFR setup going on my VVT engine in a few months. Please don’t stop! You have the best stuff on the market with the best prices

As an owner of an early kit, I can say that you can up the prices 20-30% and people will still buy your stuff.
I would say your Manifold/DP is just as good as the TSE-Kit and that stuff is/was expensive, overseas even worse... People bought that, too

I agree. You make (in my opinion) the best kit available right now. Its relatively inexpensive, beefy cast iron, and has a good flow pattern. The stainless exhaust i bought 3 years ago is one wipedown away from looking brand new and fit just fine when i 1.8 swapped. Jacking up the price would be perfectly justified for the quality goods you put out.

That would be TRAGIC! I literally just got your EFR manifold and full 3" exhaust and am SO impressed with it. Absolutely top notch and I cant wait to see how it does on the dyno. I will echo what others have said, your stuff is absolutely the best available right now. I wish I had invested in crypto early and could inject your business with some cash, because I really believe in your stuff that much. Hopefully you are kidding, but I do understand if it isn't lucrative enough to keep your doors open. Much love from well across the pond Kraken

How dare you tarnish the name of Kraken by saying it is only "as good as" TSE. Kraken's stuff is leagues better than TSE and actually fits our cars and has support.

If cash flows are a concern @Kraken I think I would focus on just top mount stuff that fits every miata combo that works on AC + Power steering or neither and can hit the largest spread of buyers. I like that you offer bottom mount stuff too but I think that might be too niche to have longterm staying power.

Perhaps that's true but the first time I saw the low mount fitment with the stock heat shield installed my jaw dropped and Kraken became the only manifold I wanted. Obviously the Kraken top mount blows it out of the water, but it does need to compete with the $100 cast ebay manifolds which still draw some budget conscious buyers. There's literally zero competition for a low mount cast manifold.

Andy,
I'm sorry, English isn't my first language and I understand, that this perhaps sounded worse than I originally intended it to... I meant, AT LEAST, if not better
I'm sure you were just kidding a bit, but I had to put this right, haha.

For the love of the MX5/miata community, do what you need to do, to keep the business running. I'm sure there is a way, you're well known all over the world right now.

Full top mount kits, 1.6 and 1.8 with your amazing intercooler piping and engine management would sell like crazy, please think about it

Man, I hope you are able to stay in business. I plan on upgrading to your manifold, downpipe, and exhaust in a year or two after I have "proven" my current setup and worked out the bugs of the rest of the system. If I were building the car today from scratch I wouldn't use anything BUT your high mount.
