Default Serial to USB Converters

I know alot of people were keeping old laptop tops around just for the Serial port which is no longer supported. I have come across 5 Serial to USB converters in the last few days and would like to start selling them.

similar to this listed at $39... http://www.gridconnect.com/rs232usb.html

$5 Shipped (within the USA) is what I'm asking (basically enough to cover shipping)

Let me know if interested!

Have you tested this with MS? I know that it is hit or miss on which serial to usb converters work.

Wes, I have not. I work in IT...and came across these from I dont know when. And to be honest - I have no clue why I would have bought 10 of them :-) But I did...so I'm getting rid of stuff...IT related here.

Well, I've been having a hell of a time finding a decent (i.e. not complete junk) laptop for tuning with a serial port. PM me your paypal, and I'll take one.

Hey, for 5 bucks, it's worth a try. If it doesn't work, I can always use it to connect my old joystick to the computer and play Red Baron again.

Oh, come on. That's only like 1.5 gallons of gas money. Don't be such a negative-nancy.

If I had a MS...I would have tried it. I did try it on an old CD Rom that I found. Everything read fine.

That's fine...I threw $5 out because I didn't know the cost. I only found them for $39 listed online. I'm not trying to screw anyone over.

Thanks to everyone for helping me clean out the garage! I have one left if anyone needs it. Also, thanks to those of you who left me feedback.
