Damn Ben your right. There is a guy on miata.net's classifieds and he is wanting 1130 for the 3.90 rear end and carrier, hubs, one-piece axles, and drive shaft.

Why do so many people whine and bitch about lowball offers? It's not like the question was "how much is my life worth" and someone answered "$500". It's just a car part. A low offer is not an insult. If you don't like the offer, just say "no thanks", make a counter offer, or ignore it.

Cody, good job on being rational in your response, you handled the offer better than a couple others that don't even have a financial interest in this.

Not unless we could work out some kinda 3 way where I ended up with $200 less in my bank account and 3.90s in my car instead of 4.10s.

Well we have to be reasonable and if I had a Torsen Type 1 in a 4:10 gearing installed in the carrier, I might have considered a counter offer of 650 dollars picked up. I don't think he was trying to be and *** as much as he just wasn't knowledgable on the market value of a Torsen in the carrier with a 3.90 ring and pinion. Like Ben said, the 3.90 makes big difference on pricing and this is a much better final drive ratio for any supercharged or turbocharged car.

I hear they don't hold up over 200 rwhp... But really its how you drive it... There are plenty of people that have broken their T-5 tranny's in the Mustang GT's due to speed shifting.

its an open not a viscous so it doesnt bash the diff. as hard to get power to the wheels. Im actually above 200whp right now and it does fine. A viscous wouldve blown up by now. all that will happen when i lose traction is wheelspin. sure its not the fatest way right now but hey thats why im here. I am well knowledged on what they're worth. If I were you, i'd be selling it for 1k. I've been in the miata world for 4 yrs so far and have seen many, but theres no harm in lowballing if you're willing to go higher. Im really just getting to know you. Like I said anyways, half a month and i'll pick it up if you still have it
