FS: MiataRoadster Viton Quattro seal CAS seal NA
MiataRoadster’s Quattro seal cam angle sensor (CAS) seal has double the sealing power and a far longer lifespan than the Mazda factory replacement seal.
Our seal is made of Viton, which is far more resistant to petroleum and heat than the factory plain rubber factory O-ring, enabling it to last much longer between changes.
On 1994-1997 Miatas the CAS is located on the driver's side of the engine, right over the hose going from the back of the head to the heater core. The factory rubber seal inevitably turns rock-hard over time, cracks, and leaks oil down onto the heater hose at the rear of the head, causing it to soften and potentially burst, overheating the engine and causing major damage.
