I don't have any MS3s right now, they are out of stock. I'm expecting more than 10 or so soon though. Do you know why you need/want a MS3 over a MS2? Btw the MS3 is definitely not $740.

For the future then maybe? I am just guessing at why you would want ms3 over ms2. For a 2001 that would be the big thing for me.
On a side note, hopefully at the megameet Ken and James can actually play with my car and VVT and hopefully get it to work correctly.

Oh...do any of the MS2's work with VVT? I thought MS3 was working. Let me go through this thread again.
Sorry guys, I'm only on if VVT works with any of these.
EDIT: damn, I just saw this. I must have just assumed 01-05 would have VVT support.

* No VVT for the 01-05, sorry! The engine runs fine without it (my car has been MSed for 4 years now with no problems at all) however DIYAutoTune are about to market a seperate VVT controller that you can connect to any ECU, including Megasquirts/DIYPNPs.

You can get VVT support by adding the VVTuner from DIYAutoTune. My MS2 ECUs accept the VVTuner in a plug and play fashion - no wiring needed. I'm currently using it with my MS2 and I'm VERY happy with the way it works. Right now, all of my MS2 ECUs have features that the MS3 doesn't have (but you are not likely to need them since you don't have A/C or P/S).

Damnit. Sorry but it does not make economical sense for me to buy another $200 unit. I'm going to stick with the Adaptronic until MS3 supports VVT natively.
Sigh, more waiting.
Thanks!

Well, thinking it over, I'm going to wait until the Reverant's newest improved version comes out. I've got so many other things going on with the car right now, RB Type III Bumper needing paint, turbo reclock, new charge piping, and other small things to be done maintenance wise. Sorry guys! I'm not in a rush for engine management and don't mind waiting. Good luck, hope you get a third buyer!
