Basic MS3 - add 5v Ref to DB37?
Hi
Is there an easy place to pick up a 5v reference signal from the Basic MS3 main board to feed it through to one of the unused DB37 pins?
It'd make the wiring for some of the options a lot tidier compared to trying to pull it from the ECU connector loom and back round... I've got an external MAP sensor and a variable resistor for TC / LC adjustment that both are fed from the 5v feed but plumbed into the DB37...
Might be a nice feature for future revisions of your board

Ah, sorry, just noticed this was MSLabs subforum so the pin count might be different. But you've got a 5v output coming out to drive the TPS, also known as vref.

So that I understand what you're saying, the OP can pull the signal from 2I at the ECU connector (in the case of a 2000 NB1) and route it to one of the unused DB37 pins? Otherwise, the signal isn't present at the DB37 connector on the MS3Basic. Just asking because it's what he was originally going to do.

Yep - I want to pull 5v ref. from somewhere to a spare pin on the MSLabs DB37.
I was just wondering if there's a 'nice' place to source the 5V from (like an unused pad on the main PCB), rather than trying to tack a wire onto the back of the ECU socket..

You can get 5V from pin 9 of the serial connector. You can then add a wire from pin 9 to pin 34 on the DB37, which is a free pin on this ECU version (3.0b). Other ECU versions may have this pin already in use.

Pin 34 on the DB37 is used as it's got an optional ABS sensor speed input.
Also - as it's got an optional internal barometric sensor, what input is this connected to? The basemap you sent doesn't have it enabled...

My mistake - 34 is free as you say....
