Reverant MS comparison
|
Here is a silly question: What is the difference between the * and Y on the chart?
Thanks for making this a sticky, makes it easier to figure out what's in my ECU  |
* means possible, modifications may be required.
|
Ahh, thanks Rev. :bigtu: I'm looking to set up the 'Boost switch (Hi/Lo)' function for my MS3-B and its marked with a * I'll send you an email tonight.
|
What hi/low levels do you want to use?
There's a VERY simple hi/low solution that doesn't require anything from the ECU. |
Cutting power to the EBC and running on gate?
|
we all know what a high low switch is for. high boost all the time and I have a switch I never use.
|
Question my masculinity all you like, but I'd prefer to have something like 2-3 settings to choose from. I'd like to be able to throw the keys at people and have a reasonable expectation that when the car is returned, there is still rubber on the rear tires and the bodywork still resembles a Miata.

Yep, thats how I plan on getting 3 settings: High, low, and gate.
I also plan on implementing boost by gear, traction control and launch control. ALLTHESWITCHES! Gods help me  |
For some reason I just imagined your car's interior looking more like the inside of an A380 cockpit...

:likecat:
See? This is why we need the props back |

That is a standard MegaSquirt-2 and does not look like a Reverant built unit, it does not even have the Miata connectors...
i was told he has the connector adapter for it.. But that sucks if it's not a ms3 and not a reverant ecu |
Guess il wait for dimitri to chime in, I haven't quite figured out how to PM on here yet

Here's the thread where @thirdgen sold his MS3 for an NB1. Pics are there for you to compare: 99-00 MS3 PNP (custom in stock case). Maybe he sold another :dunno:. The guy seems to be trying to scam you IMO. @Reverant can comment if he wants to. And $1500!!! |
..
I already found the thread and contacted thirdgen... Also it's 1500 for a brand new mk turbo kit plus the ecu with a AEM wideband. so it's pretty fair imo. I'm just looking for clarification on the ecu before I drop the dough
|
Definitely not a unit from us. The guy is either clueless himself or he is trying to scam you.
|
I can tell you pretty much everything about that unit. Reverant had nothing to do with it. That started out as a MS1 that was running parallel on a 97. Then I put it in my 99 and many modifications were made until it became ms2 standalone. I drove my car for like 4 years with this ms, then I upgraded to MS3.
