Hey does anyone know what the firmware version is associated with the 2001-2005 Miata - MSPNPP-MM0105 Basemap? Stupidly I updated my firmware and tried loading this diy autotune basemap and got tons of errors and car won't start.

Alternatively anyone have a 01 basemap for the 1.5.1 firmware?

AH i think i was able to answer part of my question. Its associated with the 1.3.4 firmware 2015 01 23.

I guess the second question still applies, anyone have a newer basemap that works with latest firmware updates(1.5.1)? I dont even know if this is worth it. Im going to try switching back to old firmware today.

 

Stick to the 1.4.x firmware branch. You should be able to load their old basemap and the reconfigure it some for the new firmware.

 

1.5.x code added a few features like engine states that would need to be set up, but it is possible to load the original map into the 1.5.1. If you run into any issues, post up the non-working 1.5.1 tune and a data log of an attempted start.

 

Hey, Matt saw your email. Figured I would post here so there is resolution to the post.

When I updated my firmware to 1.5, then loaded the 0105Basemap from the site I got tons of weird changed settings compared to when it was running on the older firmware. Individual fuel tables were enabled, with all kinds of random number positive and negative as one instance.

I reverted the firmware back to 1.3 and basemap worked fine. There were other numerious small changes here and there, the stock map setting was different etc.

Do you all have any plans on an updated basemap for the newer firmware?

 

I had the exact same issue 2 days back. Finally, I was able to get some base map running and get it tuned to run just fine. I use Stock engine with MS3Pro (PNP). I can provide the tune I have right now, maybe it helps.
