okay so i changed the wires around so the brown is going to the pin 10 wire but i still have no reading in megatune. Now i cant seem to find the proper ego switch point(v) #. I cant get the lc-1 to work with my computer either so i cant program the outputs. or should i not have to. what does everyone else run for switch point volts.

2.5v is the proper switch point. Is the LED lighting up? Do you have the LED wired in parallel with the button? This is why so many people bitch about the LC-1. When you are sitting there with 7 wires from the LC-1 itself, 4 wires from the gauge, an LED+button, and some of them are the same color, it gets confusing pretty quick.

It's really funny how many people complain about wiring these up properly, and the problems they have.

The schematic I followed was hand drawn by a drunk guy...and was super-easy, and worked flawlessly.

I did read the instructions as well though.

Hehe, I was probably drunk when I did mine, but to be fair, I'm going to be re-doing it sometime soon. Alki-engineering really failed me in the "clean install" department. Luckily it is under my center console where the masses cant see it

Yes please, we need all the help we can get. I've been struggling to find tuning for dummies type information that covers the middle ground between some highly technical information I've found and common generic advice without reason behind it.

Can't find it. Can i not just get the car running on megatune first? I just want the wideband reading. Then start tuning? How does tuner studio help diagnose the problem for the wideband? just curious.

Tunerstudio has a better interface, handles IO better, is less picky with USB-> Serial adapters, and has a fantastic autotune for fuel. That being said, there is nothing wrong with megatune.

You would want to use tunerstudio. Megalogviewer is for viewing logs after the fact (and analyzing your VE table).

If you are using megatune, did you use the configurator to select LC-1 from the wideband menu?

I'm officially confused.

1. You are SURE your LC-1 is installed properly and are getting a reading on the gauge.

2. You had the outputs wired incorrectly, so now you have the brown wire running to the gauge, and a "splice" off of that running to pin 10.

Is this correct? If that is the case, I would think your splice is suspect here. A multimeter will tell you if there is voltage getting to the pin from the wire. Check that and report back.
