Just swapped over to MSPNP and car is having trouble starting/idling. Pics inside.
1997 Miata stock 1.8 w/no modifications. Stock injectors. Stock everything(for now).
96-97 MSPNP Gen1.
MAP hooked up.
Uploaded base map(MSPNP MM9697 Base Map 012808) from Megasquirt folder.
Changed fixed angle to 10 for timing set.
I also have the IAT sensor so I can remove the MAF.
So let's begin. The car runs and drives great with the stock ECU. After plugging in the MSPNP and experiencing a no-start issue, I plugged my stock ECU back in so I can drive it to run errands. I would love to know why the engine isn't starting/idling. Sometimes it would start for a few seconds and then die. I have a near complete turbo kit sitting in my room waiting to be installed, but first I would like to gain experience by tuning the stock 1.8 with the IAT replacing the MAF. Any type on inputs would be appreciated. Thanks

I'll have a look when I get home. I always thought that was weird but didn't think much of it until you pointed it out. Hope it fixes the problem! Are my Cranking Pulse Widths and After Start Enrichments looking okay? Hopefully I can tune in the 550cc injectors after I get everything worked out!
It's set to 400kPa..don't know what else it could be.

I'll be trying a way to configure the MAP setting but other than that I'm good! Drove it around my neighborhood with the MAF removed and it ran decently good. Next step is to connect my AEM Wideband and get the AFR and Spark settings right! (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Okay I figured it out. When I created my project I overlooked the MAP setting because I was a noob. Of course I still am noob but a smarter noob. Everything is good and I'm driving/tuning it. Thanks for the help Administrator. Thumbs up.
With MS1, you also need to specify MAP sensor type under Project Properties as well as in the tune file itself. Glad to hear you're making progress.
