MS2PNP9495 V1.3 Boost control pin does nothing
I seemingly can never sort out all the issues with this car haha.
After going to the dyno to get tuned last month, I found out my EBC did nothing and had to swap in a spare MBC I had on the dyno. Now im troubleshooting to see what was wrong, and have traced the issue back to the ECU. The EBC receives 12V, works when tested on a battery, but the ground wire going to the ECU simply never grounds. I tested this all with a spare pin directly off the ECU, so no wiring issues.
The settings under boost control have the BOOST pin selected, I'm using pin 7 designated for boost control for the ground, and I even messed around with the programmable output settings for BOOST (it was originally off) and was never able to get a completed circuit while testing with the I/O testmode. I believe all my jumpers were in their original positions when I received and installed this MS. I've never heard of anyone else needing to do any of this to get boost control working, so any more ideas on what could be wrong or where I could continue troubleshooting?

I had a similar issue. When test mode wasn't working for me it was because for some reason it wont pulse the ebc if boost control is active. So I deactivated boost control in the boost control settings, then went back to testmode and it worked just fine. ms2pnp 1.6

Well, bad news, wasn't the issue. Went ahead and tried it with no luck.
My initial understanding was that the BOOST pin on the ECU served as a ground, but while testing, it never completes a circuit if supplied with 12V when the pin is enabled or disabled. If I test it for voltage, however, It supplies 2V when the pin is enabled and disabled. Is my understanding just totally wrong about the circuit?

Until now, I just dealt with using a MBC, but I am now on break for school and trying to solve the issue.
I was recommended by DIYAutotune to test directly off the ECU with a light diode which I did with no success (one end of the diode where BOOST pin goes, other end to 12V). I also happened to get my hands on another MS2PNP and tested it as well. Exact same result.
I am thoroughly confused at this point since I am testing directly off the ECU, but the test mode doesn't seem to be working for either ECU. I've double-checked that I'm using the correct pin, tested with boost control enabled/disabled, and am completely out of ideas... Any suggestions or am I stuck running my MBC forever

My car has undergone a huge overhaul since this including an MS3 upgrade and running new wires for EBC. I never determined the issue, but EBC works now. I would just triple check for wire continuity and verify your pinout diagram.
