Default OG Racing: My first race suit. Everything you need for Chump/Lemons

Morning guys.
I wanted to make a and list off everything you'll need for a lemons race. Everything is "entry level". thus you can replace it and upgrade as time goes on... I will not be listing the "the cheapest stuff on the planet" i will list "best bang for your buck" that means everything will be a good Quality and last for a long time, just inexpensive.

lets take this from the top down..

Helmet

The Bell sport is a very good buy. Our best selling helmet for 3 years. It has a good quality interior. Starting at only 299.95. it's 2010 rating means it will be good till 2020.

OR

SA Helmet Rentals!

OG Racing offers a Helmet Rental program. We offer both Full-Face and Open-Face helmets. All carry current Snell approval ratings for use in almost any club sanctioned motorsports event in the United States (we currently have both SA2005 and SA2010 helmets available for rent). Rental fees range from $25.00 (Open-Face) to $35.00 (Full-Face) for a 10-day period. And if the bug does end up biting you (which it almost always does), we’ll credit the rental fee towards the purchase of a new SA2010 rated helmet. There’s really no better way to go.

Suits.
We have two choices.

Choice 1 a sfi 3.2a/5 suit (no underwear required)
Starting at 399.99 the G force 545 is a excellent bang for your buck suit. it has simular features as a $1000 sparco suit but at a fraction of the cost. those features are Arm gussets, Back gussets, Mildly light weight, and a belt.

choice 2 a SFI3.2a/1 suit You will need underwear.
the Sparco Driver suit starting at $150 this is a FPF cotton suit and should be thrown out after 5 washes. with this suit you will need underwear.

Underwear
The budget priced OMP OS 40 Sport-line of racing underwear features a 100% soft-knit Nomex construction.

the costs of choice 1 sfi/5 suit VS sfi/1 suit +underwear
Choice 1
G force 545 =399.99

Choice 2
sparco drivers suit - $150
omp OS undershirt -$72
omp OS Underpants -$60
total -------------- = $282

Shoes

both run large, if your street shoe is 12 we recommend ordering an 11.5

If you have a wide foot i would recommend the Sparco Race Driving shoe. thse have a slightly thicker sole and are excellent for walking around the pits. these shoes list for $100

for the narrow foot i would recommend the OMP OS 50. similar to the sparco in price and quality the OMP would be for the narrow foot.

total
Helmet rental ------------- $35
SFI /1 suit + underwear - $282
OMP os 40 balaclava ------$35
OMP os 40 socks ----------$25
Sparco/OMP shoes -------- $100
Total------------------------$477

Any order over $100 is free shipping, Seats included!!

For ChumpCar and Lemons yes they are. Johnny recommends the AlpineStar Tech 1 gloves.

Best bang for your buck gloves is the Alpinestars Tech 1 Race.
they are priced at $99 and have a grippy palm area, that never seams to lose it's grip.

I would recommend getting them in a bright color, like white or yellow. Gloves might be your only form of communication with corner workers.

If you're running Lemons or Chump in the summer you also want a cool shirt. Not required, but highly recommended. You'll go much faster at the end of a 2 hour stint if you're not dehydrated and on the way to heat stroke.

Personally I wouldn't do it without a HANS, either.
