Get a wideband in your car ASAP, or confirm your fueling on a dyno and then don't touch anything. "rich" on a narrowband means you're somewhere between 9.0:1 and 14.0:1. So you could have flawless AFRs, or you could be washing your cylinder walls down, or you could be dangerously lean.
I understand what you are saying. I'm doing a dyno day in June.

I've been running this particular setup for a couple of years and about 10k miles and the car has 199k on it. I'm fairly confident based on that that I'm not killing it as I figure it probably would have blown up by now with all the autocrossing, but you're right that I should get a more accurate picture.

I was thinking about this for the wideband.

oh now you've done it. Next time you start it it's going to spearchuck a rod through the wall of your garage into the kitchen, where it will hit your wife square in the babymakers, and then she'll divorce you, take the house, and you'll be living in your busted-*** turbo Miata doing tricks for internet access where we will mock you endlessly for your stupidity.

But seriously, if you aren't pinging it's probably OK. Use det cans or check the plugs for pepper (aluminum beads). Get it on a dyno soon, though.

I know, I seriously started thinking it was going to blow up driving home today because I was just asking for it from this thread.

It's definitely not detonating, because I've heard pinging in the past (and even the narrow band was showing lean at times) when I swapped to the bigger downpipe. I swapped the 1.6 injectors for the 1.8 injectors and that took care of it, so I'm probably on the edge of safety, which is why I haven't changed anything since then.

I've even got the BEGI AFPR in a box, but I didn't want to mess with changing out the Greddy one anything because it has been running fine. This is half my problem with going to Megasquirt, because I have to get it all back to working properly after changing out the computer.
