Then why spend the extra several hundred dollars that a v-band setup costs? Has there ever been a stud failure with a T2 flanged mani on a street car? I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Tial's v-band housings are lighter, tolerant of higher temperature, corrode less, have better modularity (can go from GT25 to GT35 in the same flange "family") and perform better (IMO) than the Garrett bolted-flange housings of the same a/r.

ATP listed a 38MM at like 22something dollars. Not bad. I got mine second hand, but NIB for 185 about 3 years ago. 220-230 new in 2010 dollars is a good deal.

Bolted tial 38mm is 230 on ATP for silver only, +$10 for any color. Does NOT include the flanges. The MVS vband ewg includes the vband flanges and clamps. Many places sell stuff for less than atp once you get an account with them (pretty easy). Savington could probably get you a better price.

I can get this tial stuff! Because I'm a dealer! But probably! Can't compete with online! prices!!

hehehe
