O2 clamp installed, overhaul amost complete...WOW!
Summary of my Greddy overhaul these last 3 weeks:
New ETD manifold
New EGT probe kit
New custom 2.5" catback
New Starion IC/Custom piping
Cleaned AFM, reset clockspring
Rewired EMB
New Bosch wideband, rewired to replace stock, rewired ground and power
Replumbed boost gauge/vacuum tubing
Installed O2 clamp.
Results:
Wowowowowow.
I still have to tweak the clamp settings and rewrite my EMB maps but, out of the box, my car is running stronger than it has in a looooong time. Bruce is my Daddy.
My wideband readings are erratic, but the numbers look way better now. EGT numbers are really nice through the power band. Looks like I'm not running rich anymore.
I ditched my Vortech before driving up to Seattle, but now that i'm here in the cold dense air, running 92 octane instead of 91 craploline, it looks like I'm boosting 10 psi just on the EMB injector/timing maps alone, with plenty more to be had. I'm looking foward to the drive back to LA, but i don't want to leav the land of high octane.
