Hey guys,

I bought a used Greddy Kit a while back and finally started to install it.

While upgrading the bolts/studs on the manifold I noticed that the gasket b/w the manifold and turbo seems to be missing.

My question is can I run it without a gasket? If not where can I get one? could I just use hi-temp gasket maker?

If your flanges are flat then you can run without a gasket. You cannot use standard hi-temp gasket maker though. You can supposedly use Rutland Stove Sealant though because it can withstand serious temperatures apparently. Try it without a gasket and see if it leaks. Then worry about it.

 

No gasket here(or leaks) with a milled flange though

 

There is no gasket there in the stock Greddy kit.

 

I've tried running with the gasket on other cars with 0 success. I finally had both surfaces milled flat and never looked back.

 

Glad someone asked this, I've been wondering how many people use gaskets.

 

I've used the "cooper" high temp gasket sealer/maker in similar applications successfully.

 

No gasket here, im fine.

BEGi recommendations.

 

I've run gasket and no gasket...I prefer none, as I've had the gasket die, requiring me to take **** apart again. Just make sure your flange is planed and mount metal on metal.
