Basic Questions
Well, I used to have a great MP62. Got everything I expected from it and never had 1 problem. I had to sell it to pay for a large bill to repair home.
I have been looking for a used MP45 or MP62. They are extremely hard to find. So I am considering a turbo.
Questions:
1) What should I expect a good shop to charge for the install, including IC.
2) What type of unit is used and reasonably priced that can definitely prevent detonation. I can not afford to lose an engine.
3) What type of maintenance and adjustments will be necessary and how often, to
a) Turbo
b) Engine
4) My money is real limited and can not buy one from BEGI or Flyin Miata. However, I would prefer a new kit. What is this forum's consensus on the JDM 1.8 kit on Ebay.
5)What other things should I be aware that might happen, that if they happened I would not be a happy camper.
Thanks for the help
Here I go again - I am too old for all of this!!

Welcome to the forum..
The answers you seek are all here, but you're going to have to do a little reading. There are literally thousands of posts discussing the topics you've asked about, and while the folks here tend to be really good at documenting things, we're generally not good at spoon-feeding. See that search bar up there in the corner? It works. And there are "stickys" in each forum sub-section that will answer 99% of your questions in about 30 minutes of reading.
Normally I'd troll you and tell you that yes, the eBay kits are fine precision engineered solutions which bolt right in and even torque themselves to the proper specs, and then we'd all **** on you for running a supercharger, and then you'd be eggplanted, savagely. But it's Thanksgiving, and I'm feeling nice, so... Turbo good, Supercharger bad. Megasquirt good, piggybacks bad. eBay good, eBay "turbo systems" bad. Ok?
Go read, and then go make an introductory thread in the Meet and Greet section where Sixshooter will give us a Mean Face if we're douchey to you. Because out here in the wilds of the boards, you're fair game, and MT.net is not known for it's patience with Stupid Lazy No-Searchin' Noob Questions.

It's thanksgiving and i'm an equal opportunity *******.
Your requirements are conflicting.
Just to sum it up. You'll pay way more going with an aids kit and having a shop botch it together than you would buying a legitimate kit and installing it yourself. Seriously, it's not difficult. If you can't handle it, don't do it.
