It's pretty standard protocol that threads more than about 2 weeks old don't need to be brought back from the dead unless you have something VERY SIGNIFICANT to add that the whole forum would benefit from and that would instigate another round of discussion.

When searching, always check the date of the last post before hitting reply to at thread. Whey replying, always ask yourself "is this something that I would be better off sending to the OP in a PM?" When PM'ing, check the person's profile to see when the last time they logged on was if the thread is old, and the guy's post count is really low... if the last time they were even at the forum was was a day or two after they started the 2 month old thread, they probably don't give a **** anymore, and they're never coming back.
