Anyway, it looks good. I've got to try to build one sometime. How many places did you attach it? Where did you get the metal (not sure where to source stuff like that) and how thick is it?

its attached in 2 places, 1 original airbox mount and to the turbo itself. its riveted into a pyramid shape so its actually very ridged and works good. it actually wraps around the back of the downpipe past where the water lines go. its aluminum sheet, 16ga maybe (between 1/16-1/32" maybe), I honestly would have to look. its backed with that adhesive heat shield tape stuff.

I got the sheet metal at a local hardware store, you can buy it at prolly any metal supply shop, or maybe even dixieline/ace or semi industrial hardware stores. and I got the heat shield tape at Napa.

fixed link btw, I deleted a "/" on accident

My DIY cost me $25. Homedepot sells decent sized sheets of aluminum. There is actually enough to make two heatshields. Gotta have metal snips and rivet tool if you wanna make it look nice. I was contemplating on buying one, but making one yourself was much more fun. I'll take pics of mine today.

mine was 40$ because it was 20$ for the adhesive heat shield stuff.
i made my heat shield and I made a starter heat shield for my friends corolla and some other stuff to. I still have enough to make some more stuff.
