If you get the auto TB with a pig tail on it already its just basicaly plug and play. The BMW one that goes on your TB is also just wire goes here and there. I think Hornetball had a good write up for it. Look in the usefull saved posts.

Trust me do everything in the correct order and you will not hate yourself.

Cool beans. I will start saving for the 1.8. Gonna go big block! Installing the MS this weekend and learning the program a lot. VTPS soon.

I assume that I can install COPS on this 1.6 engine and it will fit on the 1.8 other than the mounting bracket. Speaking about the wiring though, will that be exactly the same?

The wiring on the 1.6 and 1.8 will be electrically the same, however, you may run into difficulties in wire length depending on how you make the harness.

It would be different as the ignitors are different for the 1.6 and 1.8. Also the wiring will be different for some of the 1.8 cars. It's easy to change though.
