Default Greddy kit running 16.5 psi and making 177whp?

I've looked at a few posts on here stating that the greddy kit running 15 - 16 psi should get to close to 200whp.

I dyno'd my car on friday, it's tuned nicely, decent AFR's and a nice flat afr range, but the car struggled to make any more than 177HP at the rear wheels, I had a different head on the engine previously and the car was around 200WHP, wondering what could be the cause for losing 20bhp?

The car has a fully mapable standalone emerald ECU with 440cc injectors, dual feed fuel rail, decent fuel pump etc.

I'm thinking I should check the cam timing as it maybe a tooth out?

what type of dyno.

at 16psi, holding to redline, on a good tune, id expect closer to >240rwhp.

Something has to be seriously amiss.

At 14 psi I did 247 (dynapack, no correction) and we pulled a bit of timing for a final of 240/217 at the hubs.

Pics of setup?

Ive never been in an greddy with the original greddy turbo that felt anything like 247 hp.

Its on a dyno dynamics based in the uk, I know they can be a little conservative though.

No bipes, it's running standalone ecu that controls ignition and injection.

how about you share all the info so that 100 initial posts aren't asking you for specifics?

dyno dynamics can read very similar, and in some cases even lower than a mustang dyno.

Oh well there ya go. Greddy kit only works well with Bipes, Starion IC (with Jim bobowski/15psi.com's intercooler pipe kit), Saab throttle body elbow, and a Bailey BOV from Roadster Performance. B.Bowser heat shield keeps the intake temps down! Racing Mazda's downpipe would be a good idea.

Can't see how a bipes would be better than a decent fully mapable ecu?

The car has a large front mount which reduced air temps drastically, the exhaust maybe is a little small, 2.5" with twin pipes at the rear.

Unfortunately I didn't get a print out of the final run on the rollers, will try and get a print out when I'm next down there.

The car made over 200whp but since then had a replacement cylinder head due to valve guides being worn and the car smoking.

The turbo was a standard greddy unit but has a water cooled subaru core, with the greddy housings.

If the only thing that changed is the head then looking at timing (base timing at the cam sensor) and timing belt/cam alignment is the first thing I'd recheck. I put down 262/239 at 17psi tapering to 15 on a Dynojet. The local DynoDynamics reads about 12% lower than the Dynojet I used, but even then it's still 230/210 and way above your numbers.

Neither have I, we pulled out 7 hp worth of timing.

Whys that?

Checked the cam timing today and looks to be fine, will try and get a printout of the dyno graph next week and post it up.

Sorry, I did say I didn't have a dyno plot, also said it was a dyno dynamics earlier in the thread and gave the exhaust size. But feel free to close it if need be. Thanks for the helpful suggestions.
