Default NA DP on a NB

will a NA 1.8 downpipe fit on a 1.8NB (01+ I mean bolt on no fabbing no exhaust work)?

if not, where does it not fit?

thanks.

The NA and NB systems differ with regard to the placement of the flange which mates with the cat / midpipe. I suppose you might be able to run a complete NA-style exhaust system on an NB (everything from the turbine to the tailpipe), however bits-n-pieces of the two systems cannot be intermixed in a simple bolt-on environment.

I ran a NA BEGI downpipe on my '99 for a while, fit fine.

Yeah, I see no reason why it wouldn't clear the body, but like Joe said, mismatched flanges may be the issue.

I can assure you that a NB downpipe will not fit an NA. The Begi DP that I bought second-hand was attempted to be installed in an NA. After egg-shaping the bolt holes they finally agreed and sold it here and I bought it.

I'm running an obx dp from a 1.6 on my 99. Took some hacking and welding to get it to fit but that's because obx is crap. I also chopped the flange off and used a band clamp.
