your gonna spend a forth of that getting the FPR and really your going to want up the boost eventually... start with the right **** the first time and never have to worry about it later... If you had the MS you wouldn't be having these problems, You'd have others lol

+1 on getting MS. Sell your FPR, get a few extra dollars and have Brain build you a MS, or be really cheap and build your own for like $250. I bought my car with bandaids and after learning, I really wish I just bought a stock car and did everything right the first time.

So is a new engine. Park the car and get a timing controller (Bipes or something similar) and a wideband installed before you drive it again. You've altered the way your motor breathes and thinks - you cannot rely on Mazda's R&D to ensure the safety of your motor any more.

why?

Ask some people that use the link if they'd pay another $50-100 to have a MS instead.

The AFM is not really the device for tuning fuel. Especially once above 5K it doesn't care about it anymore.

come on. Why would you do this to yourself? There's a reason they are only $350 now. Because someone like you will come along and actually pay that

Hey man I'm on a budget, as long as I can get enough fuel in there, I don't care if its a link or an MS. I don't need launch control and all that fancy yuppy california bullshit :-p

have you looked into a SAFC?

links are decent. lil slow but still do the job, perfect for budget build! rotonut was running one for a while till he picked up a hydra. another friend of mine is also running one on his setup as well. no complaints from either of them!

Never heard of SAFC? I just looked it up I guess it intercepts the AFM signal? I just paid for a link. As long as I can run 10psi and not be lean, I'll be happy.

Besides - Braineak said he'd trade me the link even up for one of his megasquirts!
