Default oil return help: fitting to go into oil pan, what material?

I want to make a new oil return line for my greddy setup, but I have a few questions before I go out and get parts.

For the fitting into the oil pan:
- Would brass be ok in regards to thermal and vibrational integrity?
- If brass is ok, what size would be good to get? Greater than 1/2 inch?

For the routing out of the turbo:
- Would copper tubing be ok to work the angles in such a way so that the hose section can be a straight shot to the oil pan instead of coming out towards the frame rail, do a 180* bend on the frame rail, and go into the oil pan?
