if you have the pan off, you could drill holes for the return, and the two bolts. and only tap the bolt holes. then you secure it to the pan with nuts and bolts and a gasket. then you just screw a fitting on it to the turbo.

but who needs welding anyways when you have JB Weld!

FWIW, i read on through this page quickly but someone mentioned a gasket on the return. I've always used them. Now the one time i had to remove the return fitting and did not replace it after it was damaged in the process, I've delevoped a leak between the turbo and flange.

just buy A 1/2" NPT to 5/8" slip-on fitting. tap the pan, and screw it on.

you cannot remove the oil pan without a lot of effort in your part.

For the return flange to turbo flange I used a gasked from my 3rd Gen RX-7. Lined up perfectly.

Also, instead of buying a drain adapter, I cut the stock greddy one at the flange. Drilled the hole out and tapped it for the same size barb you use on the oil pan. I then soldered it up.

You could use this process to put any end on the return flange you wanted if you were so inclined.
