Probably something like this. Should be easy to do and not even need to take apart to do. Haven't decided if it thou;ld be bolted in or welded.

So I have a lot of it together but I am still worried about the hood just being pinned behind the headlights. I was thinking to strap the hood to the front bumper sort of like VW baja bug kits or jeeps but I think it may look like ****. I have a few of these stainless straps that are lockable. They are adjustable and pretty strong. I would remove the red. I was also thinking of going old school with these leather deals for $50. Opinions? My wife thinks either will look ghetto.

Run it up to speed with just the pins behind the headlights and see how it goes.

You'll wanna pin it between the head lights, not behind. It'll flop around like crazy at speed. Martin had to tape Laz's hood every track day because of the pin location.

The inconvenience of not fixing it will eventually become more than the inconvenience of fixing it right.

I can't help but think the easiest solution is to just put a rad support back in.

You only need the outer parts of the rad support

Yeah I don't have that anymore. I think I have a solution figured out. I can pin it to the bumper support.

I have to disagree so far. Other than this hood issue this has been a crazy easy fix so far. Like maybe 3 of 4 hours of pulling off old stuff and bolting on new. I also have a bit of weight saving if that matters to anyone and plenty of room to mount a much bigger intercooler and oil cooler. I wouldn't have done this if not crashed of course. Even this hood issue is a matter of adding a few more push locks or a latch system.

IDK man, just run some angle steel across there or something to bolt the hood pins to.

How much weight did you save there?
We are looking for weight savings on the front end.

Nice to see the car coming back together!

Got it back together. Amazon screwed me out of a week on one of the quick-locks. I used two 1.5s behind the headlights and the 1.25s designed for carb air filters in between the headlights since they had longer studs. Also added the spring kit. Fits pretty tight now. I can probably play with the gaps but I don't care. Need to redo the intercooler mount that is ghetto strapped in and need to work on the front nose plate indents.

Looks good! From that pic you can't even tell there is an issue, other than the silver hood pimples. Good show

Whoops. Didn't cut enough out of the hood. Made different turbo noises.
