I never considered wrong spinning turbos but he said pulsar turbos for bmws? are cheap and easy to get over there so yeah. Good idea.

Might be late, but in case you haven't tried yet, my brother and I were able to drill out a broken inconel stud just like that in our TSE manifold. IIRC it's the same manifold used for the 6258 turbo we have. Did it with a cordless drill and slowly increasing bit sizes before picking at what was left and then chasing the threads. It's a nail biter for sure, but possible.

That being said, even with my "locking" hardware tabs drilled out, pointed outwards, and safety wired to the next stud to keep the nuts tight, they still back off after a while and require frequent re-lock-wiring. Thinking about going to the fab9 vband manifold and downpipe now. Might try that brace Emilio mentioned as a stop gap though.

Actually switching to M10 studs is a stopgap. The correct way to install any turbo is with a brace to support its weight. The flange is just a gas seal. OEM turbos on cars don't have problems with turbos falling off because they all have some way to support the weight of the turbo independently. V bands are not designed to hold weight either, they are clamping mechanisms designed to seal gas.
