There have been a few other minor fitment issues as well that I know of, but it's pretty much what I'd expect from a shop that produces semi-custom built pieces rather than running a huge production batch. I wouldn't let that keep you from getting BEGi stuff, but I'd check fitment as soon as it arrived. Keep in mind, I haven't heard anything about their complete kits, but the three issues I know of have all been with BEGi DP and turbos not bought from BEGi.

Look up Savington's old thread about the no boost. He was having the wastegate arm catch open on the DP divider on a T25 and GT25R. Because of his thread, luckily I checked as well and had to bend my divider a bit as well or my GT25R from a MSP would have had the wastegate arm held closed by the divider. There was one other guy from m.net who had the same issue, but I forget his screen name.

For me, we're talking about the divider being a couple mm off so could easily be a variation between pieces since they weld off a jig I assume. YMMV. Not bashing BEGi, they build beautiful pieces, but I'd definitely double check that your wastegate arms move freely.

my DP didn't even have a divider.

essentially it sounds like there are two issues, one is the WG arm not clearing the flange, and the other is the bolt holes not being aligned properly to allow clearance at the tranny bellhousing.

for the WG arm clearance issue, the notch cut out of the flange that i pictured doesn't take long wiht a good sawzall blade. and properly making the bolt holes for the turbine oblong using a carbide dremel bit can solve the transmission clearance issue.

it sounded like begi was going to have the next round of greddy flanges made with the bolt holes already oblong'd, to allow for slight differences in fitment in that department. I don't know if there are any plans to fix the wastegate arm issue, however.

We have test fit a few more downpipes with little success. Corky wants to get another car in house to re-do this pipe.

I talked to Corky @ begi last week. He said they don't even have any more DP's for the greddy kit. That they need to do a redesign and won't be able to do it until they get a test car to make measurements on. I hope its soon.

hmm, well I guess it is a good thing I held off on buying the downpipe for a bit -unless the redesign never happens :-(
I'd rather modify the old bell part to fit than run the stock greddy piece. Seems like Turbo Tony is long gone too. so steph, don't let corky abandon it!

Stephanie, I don't know if it is good enough, but I have the stock greddy pieces, manifold, downpipe, and turbo, and I'd be willing to let corky use them for development since I am not going to install this stuff until I can get a bell downpipe for it anyway.
I can't get the car down there though, unfortunately. My buddy Jason drove his 1.8l down there from here in northern va, to get the ubercharger installed, you may have seen it around the shop, and you would certainly remember jason if you met him.
I'm not that hardcore I guess :-)

I'm guessing that they're planning to send you your replacement once they've made one that fits. Patience young Skywalker.

I don't know? Shoot me a PM, e-mail or call. I do not recognize everyone by their forum names.... I called or sent an e-mail to most everyone who has one on order about the delays. If I missed yours, I do apologize.

tronik-We can use those parts- Sure. Send me an e-mail or PM!

That’s good news tronik, I sure hope this will expedite the production of the down pipe I am patiently awaiting.
