I agree with you on that. However, the pictures do seem to make it look worse than it is. The guy I bought the setup from had run them on his car a handful of times and I bolted them up on my car before I bought them to make sure that all was kosher. I don't think I'd run these as my every day wheels, but they should be fine for occasional drag use. I plan to bolt them up and take a few laps around my neighborhood to be sure though.

UPDATE! So I've put about 250 break-in miles on this setup. At first it was acting kinda chattery on engagement, but after 100 miles or so, that completely worked itself out and it is now very smooth. I still have yet to really beat on it, but I'm very satisfied. The pedal pressure is a little stiff, but not as bad as my DSMs with their ACTs

The lighter weight seems to have made the car come on boost "quicker" and under lighter throttle than before. Hard to explain, it just moves out with less throttle than it used to need to do so.

All told I give the ACT stuff a big thumbs up! More to come!

FWIW I install custom wheels with patterns like that all the time. It is pretty common with wheels that have a cap covering the lugs. My boss has a Grand Prix with wheels like that, no problems in like 8 years.
