Hey all just wanted to show off my begi S kit. First I want to thank Zabac for helping me out he weilds a power drill like nobody I've seen.

Anyway right after I took the pics I started filling her back up with coolant and noticed the braided water line behind the turbo is leaking so I'll have to pull it off and check it out. Then just have to finish installing the Bipes and boost gauge and ready to fire her up.

 

why no bypass valve?

 

Don't need one at low boost levels.


Scrub that engine bay sir, it'll appreciate it.

 

ya, the begi s kit doesn’t come with the bypass valve but this is a work in progress so maybe down the road. I guess after I scrub the engine bay, hell I just be happy to stop the coolant leak.

 

you couldn't get the compressor inlet pipe to fit the way it was intended either, huh?

 

Nope, you had the same problem? I was just happy to get it to fit and the hood close.

 

BTW you can install a BOV for less than $100 total, and it is really easy, takes less than 30 minutes. See my sig for details.

Just read over you BOV install how easy can it get this will definetly be done to mine. With the black coupler hose of course.

You don't really NEED it, but it will get rid of the farting sound. You will see what I mean

You will be digging the boost when you get it running. Enjoy

Ya I had the same problem, funny thing is, the only pictures I've seen with the filter mounted the ''right'' way, are on the BEGI website.

 

the pipe on the website and what you have are not the same....it's missing a bend, it should look like a funky corkscrew, not a V.

 

the pre-turbo tubing and bracket i received are all wrong for my 1.6 too (though i made it work, WITH ZIP TIES). i never bothered to get it straightened out as i plan to go megasquirt at some point. honestly, i don't understand how the bracket could EVER work correctly with the limited realestate in the driver fender area.

Well I am just making an assumption here, but I did receive all the pipes and bends for the compressor inlet, and larryd96, like me probably couldn't get them to fit, (the compressor inlet pipe kept hitting the charge pipe)

 

I managed to get my charge pipe to fit like the picture on the Begi site, but it is jammed against the hood.
I like the way you've angled the air filter.

This fits with the hood down? Is the pipe the standard part, or did you have to modify it in some way?

Nice install... very clean, I like that VC alot. Glad to see another Turbo around Charlotte... We just need to get Zabac into a FI setup and then have at least 4 MT members around town.

Congrats ( too bad were out of premium, and running lower on Racefuel) Tune safely.

 

Did you try cutting the rubber elbow so that it will angle differently?
