Default well my car is fucked...?

so just put a new turbo on my car... it has about 50 miles on it so i get bored and decide to go on a nice cruise and put some miles on the turbo...NOT BOOSTING!!! so i get on the highway and i'm cruising along giong like... 65-70 in 5th gears around 3500rpms... and i go to pass a person...and i get into boost like 1 or 2 pounds... pass him... try to accelerate again, and it feels like i don't even have a turbo...WHITE ******* SMOKE starts POARING out the back of the car... i'm like **** what the **** now...

so serioulsy what the **** just happened? the car idles fine without smoke...but when i'm out driving it... i basiclaly can't drive it... there's too much ******' smoke.

Refer to my recent post in the "Greddy" forum.

First thing you should do is check the PCV and take out the pipings to determine if there's any oil in there. Check your oil return line also. My oil was backed-up due to the line having a slight uphill and shitty positioning. That caused oil to be forced through it's seals.

could i have possibly blown the turbo in some freak accident way...

btw... i've already read all about your problems in the greddy chat... this is smoke coming out of the exhaust... not burning oil on the headers...i've already gone through that ****...

i'm about to just take my turbo kit off and run...wtf(headers?) lol and then possibly sell my miata... i can't deal with this shti anymore

the turbo is not blown, chances are the engine isn't blown.

what have you done so far? just thrown on the kit and driven off?

premium gas? retarded timing?

what did you do with the breather line? pcv valve...can you blow through it yourself? does it rattle when you shake it?

how's your oil drain line? is there uphill travel?

is there anyway you've routed anything to pressurize your crankcase?

no i've had a greddy kit, but i put a turbo on i bought from mach929 this past week.

yes i run 93...my timing is retarded to 7 degrees

checked oil drain line, it's alllllll downhill babyyy

just bought a 323 pcv a week ago. and i have the head line routed to right before the turbo... i've checked it all...

now when i took my intake upipe off...there was oill sitting into...probably being shot into the turbo and then into the compresser.

i'm never paying a place 90 dollars(that hates turbos) to tell my what is wrong with my car... "ohhh yeahh you have a bad turbo seal, we checked your compression we just don't remember the numbers"... **** i am so pissed off right now this is why i like to do **** myself.

i hosnetly can't pull out of the driveway, it smokes that bad... i even stay in vaccum...

For the record, mine was smoking bad from the tail-pipe also, never from manifold.

What's the anti-freeze look like? Bubbly and milky? Are you losing coolant?

A compression-check kit from Pep-boys is only $29.99, worth it because it could (possibly) eliminate a head gasket failure.

catch can works i am glad your car is striaght now but a compression test would not be out of the question esp for your peice of mind It is as easy as pulling the plugs.

Don't buy a catch can if you just want to test it out. You can build one for less than $10. Look for rmcelwee's writeup on it.

Hmm...I think your're confusing me with someone else. I never spoke of a Greddy CC.

For the record, after rebuilding my turbo, I'm running a breather filter on my valve cover and a metal pcv on the other side. No problems as of yet.

No not the PCV one. You should leave you PCV setup the way it is stock with a known good PCV valve.
I'm refering to the crankcase breather on the turbo side of the motor. You can run a catchcan there to catch the blowby before it goes into the intake.
