Default Will this turbo be a good one to use for 250+ hp

Hello,

Just wondering as title states if I could use this!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T3-T4-V-Ba...-/380367899367

Aiming for 250 to 280hp

Before anyone says use the search function.. I have.. but due to me being in the UK this is the only one I can find that isn't mega £££$$$£££

Thanks,

Law

get a mitsu evo 3 big 16G. its got a fast spool and and can more than hold up to your power needs on top of being a very durable turbo.

Yes it will work, but as Brain says, it will do more hp than that as well. What might not do as much will be stock rods, pistons, and a few other bits.

I just searched on ebay, and if you want to go the china route, you want this:

That's pretty gay bro, but I think I'm gonna go with 18psi's 3076. I like spooling later and making more power with less boost. Sorry I turned you off, but hopefully this will turn you on:

My 3076 was a boss.
I'd use it again even if my goal was sub 250whp.
I <3 bigger turbos. They are for the win

Thanks for the reply guys!

But as I shall be using a t3 flange! the above wont work without a t3-t2 adaptor which I kinda preferred not to use.. but it maybe the only way!

Building a turbo kit around a random turbo isn't always the best answer.

Instead, why not build the turbo around good OTS components that will work?

But as I shall be using a t3 flange!
May I ask which manifold you plan on using?

I just searched on ebay, and if you want to go the china route, you want this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GSP-GT28-T...item2a13d5a3f3
this turbo is still much larger than nessecary.

Hey finally a choice I can support -- a T3 turbo that's good for right around 300rwhp.

note he said T3 flange
I sitll say the T3 60 would be his best bet
Find one off a old z31 turbo engine and get a .48 ar turbine housing for it.

A stock r33 nissan skyline turbo would be ideal. It is a t3 flange with a small ceramic exhaust wheel, it will spool ridiculously fast and support your 250whp goal. However if you ever decide you want more it may not be able to reach 300whp without replacing that ceramic wheel with a steel one, which would slow down spool a bit. Skyline owners agree that 12psi is the safe limit for that turbo. They can be found on the r33 gts-t and i do believe they are ball bearing as well. This is the turbo i plan on using. Even though its not the best turbo on earth its most certainly a better piece then any of those china chargers and can be had for about the same price.
