Angry Would YOU put these injectors in your car?

Won a set of 4 550s from a guy on ebay for 75 shipped. Described as "low mile, one injector has a small crack on the bottom of the plastic."

Two look great:

Two not so great:

That's quite a bit worse than a "small crack". I'll probably offer to send the two bad ones back to the guy for half my money back. Anybody selling 2 550s cheap?

Umm.
cleaninjectors.com
witchhunter.com

Please send those injectors to someone like that. Its around $60 for all four and they do a complete servicing. Includng replacing the pintle cap(plastic thing with small/HUGE crack).
Looks like that one injectors suffered through some crazy detonation or something crazy like that. Sending them into one of those companies will also let you know they're all working and working with spec of each other. You don't want to install them and find out one of your cylinders is running lean or not at all.

Listen to CJ's advice and get them things serviced.

If you end up needing 2, I have a pair of 'extras' in one of my parts boxes. I had 6, but sold 4 with the Link, so have 2 still sealed up in their baggies that they came in from servicing. They got a clean bill of health, and are ready to rock.

The cracked top connector will cost extra, I'm sure. Witchhunter doesn't list that on their "parts replaced" list. Did I get a good enough price on these to bother with them or should I just send the two **** ones back?

they look fine to me besides the pintle caps....pull them off your stock injectors.

but it's never a bad idea to service injectors.

Gordon @ Witchhunter reports the two cracked ones are junk, and the other two may be OK. Does anyone know the resistance values for these injectors so I can check them, or should I go post on the rx7 forums?

Sorry to jack your thread, but I have a quick related question. On my injectors the harness plug is all green and nasty. Is that something those companies can fix?

They should all check out to be around 13.5 Ohms. The exact number isn't terribly important, as much as all 4 are consistent.

If you need a known good pair, $55 shipped--and they are known good.

Cool, I unwrapped mine and probed w/ DMM
14.1Ω on both
The .6Ω ∆ is probably just calibration errors between your DMM & mine

My meter is a piece so I'm sure they're fine

Ben, you've got cash and can take your time sending them out if you need to, the other two have to go to witchhunter so it'll be a while.

did the seller disclose that the upper connectors were cracked? $75 is a rip-off for those.

Nope, but I emailed him and he's refunding half my $ if I ship the other two back. I told him there's no point since they're junk but he wants them back anyway. I'm gonna tell him to send me a prepaid label.
