Aero vs Tires
Just wanted to get some opinions on aero vs tires. Which *should* be faster over 2.3mi 14 turn track or similar? Most of the tracks are around that size.
1 - Supermiata style air dam with splitter and a Blackbird rear spoiler running 205 Goodyear SC3Rs
2 - No aero running 205 Hooiser SM 7.5s
They both cost me the same amount of points in my class.

Cool I have sticker SC3Rs ready to go and I need to buy SM 7.5s for my spec miata so I was just curious. My TT car weighs 2450 with me in full gear and a 1/2 tank of fuel so a little on the heavy side. You are correct that the weight does effect the points. After my engine rebuild I took out my MS3 for now and im running the stock ECU and intake which freed up some points for me. I started playing with the points spreadsheet and realized I could use that same amount of points to do some aero mods. Coincidentally the amount of points I had available is just enough for a air dam, splitter and rear wing. Regarding engine/power mods at this point the car will only have headers, no cat and a spec miata exhaust so not too much power everything else is stock. Im on the lookout locally for a bumper and trunk so I dont jack up mine with holes. That should also allow me to swap those aero bits back and forth on the same day to get a good comparison.
