I did try it and the rack is reassembled, but I still haven't gotten around to swapping it back into the car, so I haven't yet had opportunity to test the effectiveness/longevity of it.
Application is the original JKC power rack out of my 1997 NA. |

For those of you concerned with the potential for catastrophic steering failure with welded input shafts, I'd suggest reviewing the incidents that have occurred. Only there haven't been any with several hundred Miatas with probably an accumulated 5000+hrs of abuse with race tires. One of the pinions my welder did back in 2008.
