I read another story on the Hasport car burning, and now that I'm 30, I'm considering my life again.

I'm thinking about converting my rubber fuel hoses to SS and hardlines. Are there any other ideas?

I heard Savington sells Spa fire systems so that's on the list too. I need to find some cash and get a fire-suit, socks, balaclava, and gloves, then a cool suit...and a fatter wallet.

A fire in a car is bad news. A fire in flight, that's a whole 'nother category. Been there. Fortunately, in my 20's I was immortal . . . that's my only explanation.

I would do flared hardlines instead of ss braid and only put braid where flex is needed.

I myself chose ss braid for some good reason that I can't remember.


What about a rollover switch? Also you still do not have a cage right?

Yep, running here in Tejas anytime after April and you NEED a cool suit. Even without a three layer race suit. They are a little bit of heaven here on earth. And all the extra water can only help if case of fire. Had to get it back on topic.
