this deserves more than two props. by far the best idea. Think of it this way, you will be saving money since you don't have to waste a track day on breaking it in.

There are many reasons I have no business having a track car. Spending money being just one of them. Lack of driving skills being a much bigger one.

+1 I have done this myself three times (before I was able to get the track car inspected) and did not have any problems. All you need is proof of insurance and about $25 IIRC. I still had functioning lights and signals.
