How are you guys shipping the roller/heat gun? Last time I rented my roller, it was nearly 30 to ship. I offered it on here but a couple cry babies got huffy and puffy over the DEPOSIT.

The baseball bat method worked great for me, my paint is thrashed anyways so I didn't bother with a heat gun. There's no limit to how much you can roll/pull the fender out if you are methodical and creative.

Done with a baseball bat, this is a stock NA fender and those are 15x9's with 225/45's on them. There's probably room for the 275 under there:

If you mean me, so far he is not shipping it anywhere. It is only being rented to people that he can essentially hand it to. But yes the thing is moderately heavy so shipping would not be cheap unless maybe it could be crammed into a USPS flat-rate box or something.

No worries, just yanking your chain :)

Yeah I am not sure taking scales to the track is a good idea either. Things get damaged, walk off, etc. I suppose I could level the trailer and use ramps... naaahh. I am there to race. Whatever we do has to be pretty low maintenance.

You ever call me anything other then Mr. Chapman again and the next thing I send to you will be a box full of poison ivy wrapped around a noose. :slap:

Now that I got my pre 2011 Hustler thing out of the way, just send me a PM if your serious and I'll get it sent out. :D

Shahab 04-08-2011 11:21 PM

Did you have to ditch your front fender liners? I will be rolling mine once I get the 15x9 6uls and 225 hankooks mounted.

chpmnsws6 04-08-2011 11:39 PM

What are fender liners?

Hopefully that answers your question

Good thing I already ripped them out then! =]

ZX-Tex 04-09-2011 08:54 AM

Mine are still in.

Well in that case, once I finish the roll, I will probably put them back. What about where the fender liner mounts to the fender lip? How would it attach post roll?

ThePass 04-09-2011 12:36 PM

Depends on your ride height and stiffness of your spring. I'm using a relatively soft setup so I kept rubbing the liners so I pulled them. If you don't rub, leave them in, they can't hurt.

Shahab 04-09-2011 02:31 PM

For those that left them out, what do you do about the blue wire bundle that normally resides above the fender liner and hangs down with the liner removed? Zip ties? Duct tape?

chpmnsws6 04-09-2011 04:22 PM

air bag sensor- removed

They are just kind of being held in there by the curled up lip on the inside edge of the fender. I think they will be fine but I'll remove them if they look like they could be a problem.

i used zip ties, however they eventually broke and my tire wore through the bundle... so it is getting removed.
