Front fender aero testing
DarbyMX5, Why are you placing a NACA duct above the canard? I don't understand why you would want to bleed air pressure off the canard. Maybe you're more focused on getting it off the top of the tire?

Hopefully that's not for the brakes. Actually, hopefully that's not for anything....
Could always string tuft test it with a GoPro on the driver's door. Maybe test out a small gurney flap attached to the ends of the fender area to exaggerate the pressure difference? Could try taping some cheap plastic L moulding along the edge and trimming it back until the desired effect is reached.
Yup. Bad spot for brake ducts for a number of reasons. Nice workmanship though.

As a part of the diet and aero upgrade regiment I put Creampuff on I decided to redo the lower section of the fender with a much deeper cut.
Lot's of sheet metal gone, small amount of it need to be put back in a new shape.
The taper that previously started about 3" inboard of the outside of the tire now clears the inside of the tire.
Pics coming soon.

Sorry Darby, that could have handled that better by all. Didn't mean to start a **** storm.
On a more constructive front it seems there's room for improvement there. Love what you did with the back of the fender though.

What size wheels are you running? Mind if I use this your fender design? Is this enough flare in the front for some 15x11 6UL's I'd like to do something like this paired with full over fender in the rear like the Carbonmiata ones

Bringing this back up. Has there been any meaningful scientific conclusion on the most effective way to vent the fenders? It looks like what Moti and Ryan have done is probably the most effective but also the most extreme. Has there been proven advantages?
