We don't have drawings, I don't think there are any. We do have a spare set with Renderos Racing in Hesperia. TC Design made both sets. We are rolling out today around 4pm.
Only option we have is to take them next door to Scarbo and have him cut something quickly. He's got a big water jet, full machine shop (and oh so sexy 5 axis machine).

I encourage you to take any step you can and might be able to help you with it if you run out of solutions, but I'll need measurements immediately (as in, you have my number, get someone with a tape measure on the phone).
I have done FEA on my uprights and the lack of material at the bottom of the uprights is concerning to me, particularly around Riverside and the kink that follows.

Not ideal, but in a situation before with 2x plates of insufficient thickness, I've drilled a hole through both plates with a tapping drill, tapped one side, then drilled the bolt OD through the other plate and countersunk the top, for a flush (on both sides) countersunk joint.

Good luck to everybody competing!!! I have my money on Emilio in Vegas and Ryan in Hypermiata winning their classes. It would also be sweet see both of you breaking the class records as well.
My guess for the new overall record is TomO driving this UAWD Evo:
I'd easily compare him to Billy Johnson or maybe even more raw talent?

I think if everything goes well, Emilio and Ryan will take their respective drivetrain classes. Best of luck to the both of them.
Last year the Pro Awesome Evo was being driven by pro driver Jeff Westphal, same guy who got pole position at the 24hr Nurburgring race in the SCG 003 car, probably the most talented driver I've ever seen out at the track. His ability to give chassis setup feedback in a technical manner is like nothing I've ever seen, along with the talent and ability to immediately capitalize on those changes as well. Anyways, their predictive lap timer was on pace to break the overall record when their backup engine let go in between the esses and sunset... they were so close. And now they are back with improvements made to the car.
Can Jam is a super strong entry too but I think they just don't make enough power to get it done. RS Motors ran a 1:40 and won the event last year and have made improvements, their car didn't have anything crazy on it besides the sequential either.
And who knows, Jager might come out of nowhere and surprise some people.
Going to be an exciting event. I don't think that 1:36's will be outside the realm of possible outcomes.

Strong start for the Pro Awesome crew with a 1:40.
Ryan put in a good safe banker lap with a 1:48.7.
I saw E out on the warm up session but not in the timed session, everything okay guys?
