Thank you for clearing that up. i feel more confident this battery is safe. I called advanced and they could not get me a data sheet. I thought that maybe Johnson Controls may know, but appears they did not supply Lithium to Autocraft. The battery says it's made in China.

I was trying to find out if this one had SBM or not.

You're a few years late to this party, the rest of us have been using these batteries for years without any of that. I've killed several batteries now from abuse, mostly from running them to 0v leaving a key on.

I just ordered one from batteries+, a lipo version. Says it has BMS. Google search turned up almost nothing about them though, so not super confident in it.

The problem with a true lipo is that their fully charged voltage is 16.4v, at 14.1 they are only at 40% capacity. Now if you have an NB alternator and megasquirt you can just crank up the voltage and enjoy the snappy window motors. 😉

Lifepo4 cells are fully charged at 14.5v so they are much better match to automotive charging systems

I may have misspoke, it says Lithium Iron Phosphate.

Would 15.0v charging be fine for that? Cause that's typically where my car sits with the NB alternator.

4.2 volts power cell is the top end, so you'll be a touch higher than I would want for a 4 cell lifepo4 battery at 15v. With that said the squirt reads high and is easy to change target voltage
