I just bought a 90 miata and looking to compete in the street class of miata challenge, but had a couple questions about how I should build it

1)It says in the rules that the driver airbag can be removed does that mean that the wiring and brain boxs can go along with it?

2)These are the points I plan on running is there anything I should change or add to make my self more competitive

9points max for street my set up as follows
Hankook Rs3 +4
coilovers/swaybars +2
header+.05
exhaust+.05
oe torsen +1
r package Flip +.05

thats 8.5 points

pretty sure my wheels are 7 inchs wide but I check tmrw

let me know if there's any thing you thing I should add or change any help would be great

 

Are you running 225/45 rs3's? If so, take off the r-lip and buy 8's. Or skip the header if it gives you enough points for 9" wheels. Header doesnt make much power.

 

From what I read, the OEM R spoiler is 0 points.

that gives you a point to spend on stick on fender vents (excessive rice)

 

Measured the wheels n they are 8s

 

wheel width is measured inside to inside.Airbag is free. This is clearly stated in the rules by the way.Use the control key + "F" to find isearch terms like, "airbag". The rules also cover removing items from the car and how large they can be. In the end, you simply must meet the minimum weight requirements.

Strategy is simple, put the most tire on the car you can.

 

I understand it says driver airbag but it doesnt state if wiring is ok or not, thank you for your help
