Default Paddle Shifter Kit for H-Pattern Transmissions

I'm putting this in the race prep section even though it isn't Miata specific. We can move it if deemed necessary.

This looks to only be available for cars with cable operated shifters now but is still very interesting. With the ability of the system to actuate the clutch and blip throttle or cut spark, this could probably speed up some of the lap times in certain classes where it is allowed. Poor man's sequential box?

Looks like they also make other things like wireless steering wheel buttons:

Hmm, with a 6-speed and a rear gear matched to only use 3-4-5-6 on track, converting this to a 4 point H pattern would not be impossible (binary in two directions), disregarding all the tough testing/calibration, bent forks etc...

Using the normal shifter for 1 and 2 is no real issue, as long as it's possible to make manual shifting (outside of the controlled motion) possible at the same time.

No major thought put into this post, just came to think of the simple pattern I use at track.

I'm making one of these myself. It should have be finished by now but life keeps getting in the way plus I had some electronic issues with the soleniods tripping the Arduino on lots of rapid shifts. I still need to sort out auto-blip on downshift but it currently is shifting through the gears on my 5 speed. I think mine shifts faster than the one linked above which is part of the issue as I need to slow it down a little to let the engine revs drop.
