Just out of curiosity I wouldn't mind seeing what everyone else is running there alignments at for there track only cars. Copy and paste below with ur specs:

Ride height at pinchwelds F/R : 4"/4.5"

Camber front: -2
Camber rear:-2.5

Toe front: 0
Toe rear: 0

Caster: 4.5ish (max)

Suspension (ie coilovers): HKS hippermax
Tires and size: Donlop D03, 205,50,15

Any other info is great like aero, approx power etc.

No aero, 100rwhp downhill.

Camber rear: -1.8

Toe rear: 0

Caster: Not 100% sure off the top of my head but it is maxed out ~5-6

Suspension (ie coilovers): Bilstiens with GC sleeves 550/350 at 12.5" F / 12.75" R
Tires and size: Hankook RS3s 225/45-15

No aero. Stock '99 motor.

Works really well IMO for the price. The 0 toe is great for wear, especially after you get the tires heat cycled.

 

Camber front: -2.8 (max)
Camber rear: -2.5

Toe front: 0

Caster: 3.5

Suspension (ie coilovers): FCM 600/375
Tires and size: 225/45 RS3

No aero. 160hp with JRSC.

 

Miata Race alignment

 

These are the guidelines I followed when getting my car aligned. Extremely useful info!

 

I gave them those numbers, ended up with

Camber front : 2.9
Camber rear : 2.4

Toe both : 0

Caster : can't remember

Car weighs approx 2400lbs with driver. Racing beat tubular race front sway bar, and some unknown red rear sway bar on full soft(assuming it's the 5/8" Racing Beat solid rear). 750/450 spring rates. The car is mostly neutral with this setup.

 

I keep wondering why people try to do anything else. I used the specs for the taller ride height, and my car handled so predictably at the track it's like it was telling me what it was going to do before it happened.

 

+1. We came to the same specs independently. Emilio knows what he's doing.

 

I'm -1.8 all around, I'd like to get the fronts closer to -2.0 next time, and remove some caster cause I'm a weakling.

 

Getting allignment today after installing prothane kit (what a Pain)

Going for the low ride height SuperMiata Race Alignment...

 

Can someone explain to me why the street miata alignment has more toe than the race alignment? Does it help stability or does it somehow lower tyre wear?

 

Toe in is for stability at highway cruising speeds. Helps make the car track straighter with less input.

 

Lol @ anyone not running the National champion 949 alignment.

 

I just go to west end and tell them to use emilio's recommended settings.
