question on proportioning valve with big brakes
#22
just for clarification, on an ABS miata how many channels is the brake system? some cars have 4 channel independent brake system so you would either need to re pipe the system or perhaps use 2 bias control values, one for each rear wheel. on a 2 or three channel system with 2 front one rear, or one front one rear then one bias control would be fine.
perhaps someone with a more in depth knowledge of the ABS system can chime in. I don't have abs

cant wait till my car gets to the point where I need to tweak the brake setup further! so far I hardly use the brakes and have yet to even light up the lowest temp range on the caliper temp strip. Im sure a track with hard braking zones will yield different results but so far, these are the best brakes Ive ever had on a track car and I'm not even running aggressive pads.
For those who are somewhat new, I would not worry about changing masters or rear calipers until you experience issues first hand. with the bbk and medium track pads I think you will be fine on most tracks. that said, I was focusing on other aspects of the car, so i'm sure my brake zones were somewhat lazy compared to the guys turning good times an a equivalent car. still a little paranoid about flat spotting tires after my last car, awful brake lock issues and I was running the "right" parts, user error I guess.
